Starting coal production and marketing in Istanbul in the 1980s, SAFİ KÖMÜR established its first factory in Kocaeli Gebze in 1995 with the aim of operating in the imported coal sector, drawing on the experience and knowledge gained in the industry.

AS KATI YAKIT SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. continues its activities in the sector with the SAFİ KÖMÜR brand, which adds value to coal.

SAFİ KÖMÜR is one of the leading brands in the coal sector with its quality, continuity, team experience, and dynamism.

In 1999, cooperation began with coal producers located in the Kuzbass region of Siberia, Russian Federation, which has the world's largest lignite reserves. Today, our company is one of the largest distributors in Turkey.

Our company operates through a dealership network established across Turkey and continues its activities at its facilities located in Samsun, Trabzon, Ceyhan (Adana), and Borçka (Artvin), realizing an annual coal import of 2,200,000 MT.

Our company demonstrates its environmental sensitivity through the arrangements made at its factories and continues its activities in Samsun, Trabzon, Adana, and Artvin.

SAMSUN

Established in 2005, it is one of the most modern facilities built in the coal sector in recent years, with a concrete area of 24,000 m² and an annual screening and packaging capacity of 400,000 tons.

TRABZON

Established in 2007, it is the most modern coal factory in the region, with a concrete area of 30,000 m² and an annual screening and packaging capacity of 350,000 tons, and has been awarded the environmental respect award.

ADANA

Established in 2009, it is one of the most modern enterprises in the sector, with a concrete area of 140,000 m² and an annual screening capacity of 700,000 tons.

ARTVIN TERMINAL

Established in 2012, it has an annual screening and packaging capacity of 300,000 tons on a 20,000 m² concrete area.
